Overview
ROLE AT A GLANCE: The Receiving Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate receipt, inspection, documentation, and analysis of incoming food products, ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies. This role supports inventory accuracy, food safety compliance, supplier performance monitoring, and efficient warehouse operations. The Receiving Analyst works closely with procurement, quality assurance, production, and logistics teams to maintain product integrity and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, invoices, and receiving documents such as COA after lead/supervisor verification as needed. • Inspect received food products for quantity, quality, temperature requirements, expiration dates, and packaging condition. • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including Food and Drug Administration regulations and applicable Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements. • Create, maintain and disseminate daily log of receipts and lots taken to QC/weekly un-received lots to QC.• Track turnaround time (TAT) from Receiving to Quality Compliance. Daily Receiving/QC floor checks to match paperwork to pallets and packed to transfer/verified.• Focus on improving operational efficiencies primarily for the receipt of raw materials and update item catalog as new items are brought in by Sourcing.• Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, shortages, overages, damaged goods, and quality concerns. • Monitor and analyze receiving performance metrics and inventory variances. • Coordinate with purchasing team and quality compliance personnel to address issues promptly. • Develop key metrics for Receiving and Shipping to track performance and accuracy.• Understand and be able to interpret data collected on key metrics, identify opportunities to report out and implement improvements.• Support inventory counts, audits, and product traceability requirements. • Maintain accurate receiving records for regulatory and internal audit purposes. • Assist in developing and improving receiving processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste. • Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of products according to FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles. • Monitor cold-chain compliance for refrigerated and frozen products. • Develop a system to check outbound shipments for accuracy.• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
Education• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Food Science, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred. (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
Experience• 5+ years of experience in receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or food manufacturing/distribution. • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices. • Experience with inventory management and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle NetSuite and WMS system. • Strong analytical and data management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools. • Ability to work in warehouse environment and lift/move heavy objects.• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Skills/Certifications • Understanding of food manufacturing and distribution processes. • Knowledge of lot tracking, traceability, and recall procedures. • Experience with quality inspections and compliance documentation. • Root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities. • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Experience in the Food or Nutritional supplement industry with exposure to GMPs.• Ability to carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision.
