About the Role

The Contracts Manager is responsible for managing customer support contracts and service delivery by integrating technical support, operational planning, project execution, financial management and stakeholder coordination to ensure contractual compliance, customer satisfaction and sustainable service performance.

 

Qualification and experience:

  • Minimum N6 in Electronic Engineering or Avionics; a Diploma in Engineering or similar qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in technical services/support, contract management, project management and customer-facing operational environments.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams, service delivery, budgets and contractual obligations.
  • Experience within the Defence, Aerospace, Aviation or Airport industry will be advantageous.
  • Experience within the ARMSCOR/SANDF environment will be advantageous.

Key responsibilities:

Customer Contract and Service Delivery Management

Manage customer support and maintenance contracts by translating contractual obligations and service requirements into executable delivery plans to coordinate technical support and maintain agreed service levels, resulting in contractual compliance, service continuity and customer satisfaction.

 

Technical Support and Operational Management

Lead technical support, maintenance and system support activities across field and workshop environments to coordinate resources and resolve technical and operational requirements, resulting in reliable, compliant and efficient service performance.

 

Project and Programme Execution

Plan and execute customer support projects and programmes by managing scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks and cross-functional stakeholders to meet agreed delivery requirements, resulting in successful delivery within technical, cost, schedule and quality parameters.

 

Financial, Resource and Performance Management

Manage budgets, costs, resource capacity, procurement requirements and operational performance through effective forecasting and performance monitoring to optimise resource utilisation and address delivery variances, resulting in cost-effective service delivery and achievement of business objectives.

 

People Leadership and Continuous Improvement

Lead and develop the services support team while driving process, system and service improvements to strengthen technical capability, performance and collaboration, resulting in improved organisational capability and sustainable customer and operational outcomes.
