Role Overview


We are seeking a talented and highly motivated designer to join our growing studio, focusing on competitions. This role is for a highly creative architect with strong design and 3D skills, who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and has a passion for producing innovative, high-quality competition work. We want someone who is passionate about design excellence, brings fresh ideas, and contributes positively to the team. Language skills are welcome but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strong architectural concepts and high-quality design proposals for competitions
  • Produce high-quality visualisations, 3D models, and presentation material
  • Collaborate closely with the Director and design team on concept generation and design refinement
  • Carry out site and contextual research to inform design proposals
  • Work with internal and external consultants, when required, to support competition deliverables
  • Manage time and resources to meet demanding deadlines
  • Contribute to internal design reviews and studio-wide creative culture
  • Assist with strategic pursuits, bids, and design-led presentations

Skills and Experience Required:

  • A degree in Architecture
  • 3 to 8 years of post-qualification experience, ideally with a focus on design competitions
  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating conceptual clarity, innovation, and high-quality graphic representation
  • Strong 3D modelling and visualisation skills (Revit, Rhino, Enscape or similar)
  • Strong graphic and presentation skills; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is essential
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and work on multiple deadlines
  • Experience working in a collaborative, design-focused environment
  • Knowledge of Irish and European planning and building regulations is advantageous but not essential
