Job Description:
You will...
Own the flawless execution of the operations plan, for all categories, sites and brands in your Pod(s). We aim to have 0 missed boxes, 0 ingredient subs, and 0 costing overages due to procurement related misses. The Operations Manager's role is directly responsible for overseeing ops projects from inception to completion and measuring success. It is also expected to foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee development, alongside the goal of driving both cost efficiencies and quality improvements. Lead the identification of key process bottlenecks and operational risks developing and executing corrective action plans that focus on continuous improvement and long-term value creation. Partner with Procurement leadership on long-term strategy across Operations and Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage escalations (from production facilities, vendors, or etc) quickly and efficiently through a structured approach and effective and comprehensive communication
- Execute weekly ops
- Manage completion of accurate weekly costing, scrubbing, and invoice approvals; support finance processes weekly and monthly through research. Execute credits, refunds, RTVs effectively.
- Ensure that launch is completed on time and accurately for all SKUs
- Manage tickets and communications - responses are quick, comprehensive, and issues are closed out.
- Manage PO placement, communication, improvements and issue resolution
- Serve as primary POC for DC communications, questions, ad-hoc training, escalations, and problem resolution
- PTO management and coverage
- Identify and track week-over-week trends, with data. Brainstorm solutions to resolve, and work on resolving with Sr Manager / AD.
- Communicate effectively
- Build relationships and processes with production facilities and strategy teams
- Encourage clear, strong, comprehensive communication with the team
- Own continuous improvement projects autonomously from end to end
- Identify opportunities in current process using data-driven approach
- Collaborate with various internal and/or external stakeholders
- Build and manage Project Management Plan
- Roll out changes smoothly and track success metrics

At a minimum, you have...
- A Bachelor’s degree is required
- 5+ years of purchasing or other relevant leadership experience, preferably in produce, protein, or other food products.
- Vast knowledge and interest in food
- Quantitative and analytical experience (either through education or professional experience) including solid comfort in Excel.
