SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Entry-level professional positions begin at this level.  Education requirements are very specific.  Decision-making skills and problem-solving capabilities are critical.

Compensation: between $19.74 and $23.54 per hour (wage is determined by total years of relevant experience)
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, may have one late evening

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Human Service field or working on degree
  • Two years direct care experience in Human Services or equivalent
  • Group Facilitation Skills
  • Bi-lingual
  • Valid drivers license/acceptable driving record

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Available for emergency situations during work hours.
  • Assist Program Director with compiling monthly program statistical data.
  • Assist with training and presentations conducted in the community.
  • Attend required and appropriate staff and community meetings.
  • Provide criminal justice outreach and advocacy to community members and shelter clients when necessary.
  • Provide case management and crisis intervention for domestic violence/sexual assault survivors.
  • May assist with facilitation of groups.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of crisis intervention skills while working with a caseload of a wide range of difficulty.
  • Display a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
  • Dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • Abide by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • Develop personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
  • Create, maintain and share as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Strive to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site.
  • Perform other program related duties as assigned.
