Responsibilities
- Provide continuous airway management across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
- Ventilator management, including invasive and non-invasive support; monitor and adjust settings as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multi-disciplinary team; participate in CPR and emergency respiratory interventions.
- Perform comprehensive respiratory care assessments, implement plans of care, and document via computerized charting.
- Manage equipment used in the unit, including ventilators (e.g., V60, PB 980, PB 840), transport ventilators, and Pyxis medication management.
- Educate patients and families as appropriate and ensure safety and infection control practices are followed.
Requirements
- Hawaii State Respiratory Therapy License active by start date
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory care experience
- RRT certification preferred; NRP certification preferred
- Ability to work in an inpatient, acute-care setting and participate in night shifts for a travel assignment
