Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) – travel assignment in Salida, Colorado. Start date: 11/19/2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,115–$2,158 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights, 36 hours per week. Schedule includes Sundays–Tuesdays on night shifts with a 4th night rotation every other week, 6:00 pm–6:30 am, with some call and weekend responsibilities. Setting: Critical Access Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Perform and collect diagnostic information, including pulmonary function testing, pad net, sleep studies, noninvasive and invasive diagnostic procedures, and blood gas analyses.
- Assess patients with physical examination and interpretation of diagnostic data to guide care.
- Apply respiratory therapies, including medical gas therapy, humidity therapy, aerosol therapy, artificial airway insertion/management, airway clearance, and both invasive and noninvasive ventilation.
- Monitor patient response to therapies and adjust interventions in a timely manner.
- Participate in discharge planning and case management processes.
- Engage in public education activities focused on cardiopulmonary wellness.
- Attend mandatory safety in-services, department meetings, and other in-service offerings as selected by the manager.
Requirements
- Current, active Colorado license as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.
- Education: Certification or registry from college or technical school; Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Experience: Two years of relevant respiratory care experience required.
- Ability to work nights and weekends in a hospital setting; able to participate in on-call activities as scheduled.
