- Travel logistics: Mileage-based pay tiers; reliable transportation required; no public transportation in the area
- Orientation: Bi-weekly orientations; next available 11/02
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult medical-surgical telemetry patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, IV therapies, central line care, blood draws, and glucose monitoring
- Document and coordinate care in EPIC EMR; implement physician orders, care plans, and patient education
- Collaborate with CNAs/PCTs, unit staff, and ancillary services to ensure safe patient flow and timely discharge planning
- Manage ED Hold patients as needed within the M/S Tele unit and assist with ED/ambulatory hold workflow
- Perform unit-specific procedures such as bladder scans, IV pump management, and routine respiratory support coordination
- Respond to evolving patient needs and participate in rounding, safety checks, and escalation per hospital policy
Requirements
- Licenses and certifications: New York RN license (active) or documented application with an applied date; NY license must be in process or current at start; license processing may take 6–8 weeks
- Certifications: BLS required; NIHSS required prior to starting; CMSRN preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience; 1 year in medical-surgical telemetry
- Education: RN education from an accredited program (not specified beyond RN status)
- Skills/tech: Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Travel readiness: Ability to travel for a 16–26 week assignment; reliable transportation required; flexible with unit rotation and weekend/holiday coverage
