Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies per physician orders, including patient preparation, radiopharmaceutical administration, image acquisition, processing, and quality control.
- Operate gamma cameras and SPECT/CT equipment as applicable to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintain strict radiation safety practices, monitor patient exposure, and document doses and procedures in the patient record.
- Prepare and handle radiopharmaceuticals following established protocols; manage supply levels and maintain equipment safety checks.
- Document procedures and results in the Cerner EMR; communicate findings to the interpreting physician and care team.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and IV teams to ensure smooth patient flow and safe, effective imaging workflows; participate in unit-wide coverage and safety initiatives.

Requirements
- Licensure and certification requirements as defined by the assigned job notes (see Job Notes for specifics).
- Current competencies in performing standard nuclear medicine imaging studies; ability to handle radiopharmaceuticals safely and in accordance with protocol.
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR for documentation and orders.
- Ability to work a day shift with weekend on-call coverage as required by the unit schedule.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered approach and attention to radiation safety.
