Senior Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Join Harvey's Site Reliability team to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of a legal AI platform used by over 1, 000 customers worldwide. You'll own critical infrastructure spanning 50+ global regions, working at the intersection of infrastructure and product to keep systems fast, secure, and resilient as the company scales rapidly.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and manage monitoring, alerting, and infrastructure resources across 50+ global regions.
• Lead incident management processes, including postmortems and root cause analyses, and drive continuous improvements.
• Automate operational tasks and workflows to reduce manual intervention and maintain high reliability.
• Collaborate across teams to embed reliability, security, and compliance throughout the software lifecycle.
• Optimize infrastructure costs through strategic capacity planning and sound build-versus-buy decisions.

What Harvey is looking for

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or similar roles supporting production environments.
• Expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Deep familiarity with observability tools like Datadog and Sentry, plus incident response platforms such as PagerDuty or IncidentIO.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.
• Proven track record diagnosing complex system problems and implementing durable solutions.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, Kubernetes, containerization, networking, databases, and cloud security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a drive for operational excellence.
