As a Senior Software Engineer on Harvey's Product Engineering team, you'll lead full-stack projects across the company's product lines, partnering with AI, Legal, and GTM teams to build secure systems for a global customer base. This high-ownership role sits at the intersection of application-layer development and generative AI, directly shaping how legal and professional services operate at scale.
What you'll do
- Build retrieval systems over petabyte-scale documents and manage data infrastructure across multiple regions.
- Create organizational-level interfaces that enable collaboration with AI systems.
- Develop and optimize planning agents and LLM-powered workflows for complex professional services tasks.
- Implement government-level security standards for handling sensitive matters.
- Lead full-stack product development across multiple product lines, from frontend to backend infrastructure.
- Evaluate and integrate large language models across diverse task taxonomies.
- Manage dedicated GPU capacity and coordinate internet-scale data collection across 50+ jurisdictions.
What Harvey is looking for
- 5+ years of experience in product-focused full-stack software engineering roles.
- Proficiency with React, TypeScript, CSS (TailwindCSS), Python, or related technologies.
- Track record of building fast-growing SaaS products, ideally with experience leveraging PWA technologies.
- Strong CS fundamentals and demonstrated ability to ship highly intuitive products with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience building backend platforms that support multiple product lines at scale.
- Comfort working in early-stage startup environments with high ownership and ambiguity.
- Grit and resilience to thrive in a fast-moving, mission-driven organization.
