Join Harvey's Agents team to build AI systems that make agentic work indispensable to legal professionals across 1, 000+ customers worldwide. In this high-ownership role at a fast-scaling company, you'll design evaluations, optimize agent performance, and ship infrastructure that transforms complex workflows like M&A diligence and contract review.
What you'll do

- Design practical evaluations that define what "excellent" means for agentic task completion.
- Optimize agent performance through prompt engineering, model selection, tool design, and context window management.
- Collaborate with the model infrastructure team to build low-latency execution systems using strategies like caching and parallel tool calls.
- Improve observability and instrumentation to profile agent behavior, identify bottlenecks, and guide optimization decisions.
- Stay current on developments in agentic systems and bring those learnings into the products we build.
What Harvey is looking for

- Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
- Track record shipping user-facing products on the backend or full-stack.
