Harvey is expanding into Germany and seeking a Legal Engineer to join its founding German team. In this role, you'll bridge deep legal expertise with agentic AI solutions to help elite law firms and Fortune 500 legal departments modernize their workflows. This is a rare opportunity to define a new category in legal technology while building trusted relationships with senior legal professionals.
What you'll do
- Engage with English- and German-speaking lawyers to uncover workflow challenges and demonstrate how Harvey's AI solutions address them.
- Establish credibility as an expert in legal problem solving across research, contract drafting and analysis, corporate governance, and due diligence.
- Lead tailored product demonstrations for law firm practice groups and in-house legal teams to validate Harvey's value.
- Partner with the marketing team to develop content that resonates with lawyers and reflects practice area and client needs.
- Act as the Voice of the Customer, using your legal perspective to refine sales strategies and synthesize feedback for the product team.
- Conduct research and analysis on customers and competitors.
What Harvey is looking for
- At least 3 years of experience practicing law at a top-tier law firm, preferably with a corporate or litigation focus.
- Fluency in German and English to engage seamlessly with local and international stakeholders.
- Executive presence and a proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior decision makers.
- Outstanding presentation skills for legal and executive audiences in both impromptu and formal settings.
- Deep understanding of legal workflows and the day-to-day challenges faced by firm and in-house attorneys.
- Genuine curiosity about AI's potential to transform the legal industry.
- Prior sales, business development, or direct client-facing experience in a legal setting is a plus.
- Valid German work rights (Harvey does not offer visa sponsorship for this role).
