Senior Facilities Manager
About this role
Our Facilities & Engineering team are now looking for a Senior Facilities Operations Manager to lead our cleaning and waste operations across PM and Night shifts.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring our store is always customer and trade ready. Leading a large frontline operation, you'll drive operational excellence, champion high standards and play a key role in delivering an exceptional environment for customers and colleagues.
About the Role
In this role you will lead all cleaning and waste operations across PM and Night shifts, reporting to the Director of Facilities & Engineering. Working closely with the Senior Facilities Manager overseeing the AM operation, you'll ensure a seamless approach to service delivery, standards and continuous improvement across the store.
You will:
- Lead cleaning and waste operations, ensuring the store is always maintained to exceptional standards.
- Manage large operational teams through managers and assistant managers, driving performance and engagement.
- Oversee compliance, health & safety, food safety and service quality across the operation.
- Lead resource planning and contractor management to maintain service levels.
- Monitor performance through KPIs, audits and reporting, taking action where required.
- Manage budgets and support operational business planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Collaborate closely with the AM leadership team to deliver a consistent 24-hour operation.
- Deputise for the Director of Facilities & Engineering when required.
About You
You will be an experienced operational leader with a strong background in cleaning and waste management. Comfortable leading large teams in a fast-paced environment, you'll be passionate about high standards, developing people and driving improvement.
You will:
- Have proven experience leading large operational teams through multiple layers of management.
- Bring strong cleaning and waste management expertise, ideally gained in a high-volume environment.
- Have experience working in customer-facing operations where standards are critical.
- Be a confident people leader with strong employee relations and performance management experience.
- Be comfortable leading change and improving processes, standards and efficiency.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Be highly organised, resilient and able to balance multiple priorities.
- Take a collaborative approach and enjoy working across teams to achieve shared goals.
