What You Will Do
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of mixed-signal electronic systems, from concept and architecture through validation and production
- Drive system-level decisions by balancing electrical, mechanical, acoustical, performance, cost, and manufacturability trade-offs
- Architect and develop embedded platforms using MCUs and SoCs in highly integrated consumer audio products
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, acoustic, firmware, DSP, and manufacturing teams to deliver cohesive system designs
- Lead hardware, firmware, and software integration efforts to ensure robust system behavior and performance
- Debug and resolve complex hardware and system-level issues through detailed root-cause analysis
- Develop and execute system-level validation and test plans to ensure products meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements
- Optimize designs across modern audio and connectivity interfaces including HDMI (ARC/eARC), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB Audio, TOSlink, and related technologies
- Conduct prototype evaluation and refinement to achieve best-in-class audio performance
- Create and maintain technical documentation including schematics, specifications, test reports, and design guidelines
- Partner with global engineering teams and suppliers to support efficient product development and successful product launches
- Contribute to technical standards, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across projects
- Introduce and evaluate new technologies, tools, and design methodologies to improve product performance and development efficiency
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Audio Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 10+ years of experience developing and shipping consumer electronic products
- Deep expertise in mixed-signal circuit design, embedded systems, and audio electronics
- Strong understanding of analog and digital audio signal chains, system-level audio design, and acoustic performance considerations
- Experience designing audio products such as active/passive speakers, powered subwoofers, Bluetooth speakers, amplifiers, or AV receivers
- Strong knowledge of various classes of power amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, microphones, Bluetooth audio modules, USB Audio, and related audio technologies
- Experience designing power supply circuits for portable and high-power audio devices
- Proficiency with ECAD design tools such as Cadence, Altium Designer, or Mentor Graphics
- Experience with circuit simulation and analysis tools including LTSpice and PSpice
- Hands-on experience performing audio measurements and validation using Audio Precision analyzers, including THD+N, frequency response, SNR, distortion, and phase measurements
- Experience developing test methodologies or specialized hardware for audio system validation is a plus
- Proven ability to independently own designs from concept through production release
- Comfortable making high-impact technical decisions in fast-moving or ambiguous environments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with an interest in mentoring and contributing to broader technical leadership over time
