About the Role

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for overall quality management across the product lifecycle, including new product introduction, manufacturing process quality, customer quality and continuous improvement activities. This role requires a versatile quality professional capable of supporting both project and production environments while driving customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Manufacturing Quality Engineer is a multi-skilled quality professional responsible for project quality, process quality and customer quality activities throughout the product lifecycle.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and support quality activities throughout the entire product lifecycle, from new product introduction to mass production and customer support.
  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve quality documentation including PFMEA, Control Plan, Inspection Standards, Boundary Samples and related quality procedures.
  • Lead process sign-off audits, manufacturing readiness reviews, Safe Launch activities and quality risk assessments for new product introduction.
  • Coordinate production validation testing, pilot runs and engineering trials, ensuring product and process readiness before SOP and mass production release.
  • Prepare, review and submit PPAP/ISIR documentation packages according to customer requirements.
  • Review and approve new product samples, engineering changes and quality-related 4M changes.
  • Monitor manufacturing process performance through data analysis, SPC, process capability evaluation and product audits, driving continuous improvement of product and process quality.
  • Lead containment activities and support production teams in resolving process quality issues to minimize customer impact and production disruption.
  • Investigate customer complaints, field returns, warranty issues and internal quality concerns through structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Organize and lead cross-functional root cause analysis activities using 8D, A3, 5 Why, Fishbone and other quality tools.
  • Conduct failure analysis, defect replication and process investigations to identify root causes and establish effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure lessons learned are applied across products, projects and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding quality issues, corrective actions and project quality status.
  • Lead or support customer audits, internal audits, process audits, product audits and IATF 16949 audit activities.
  • Drive quality improvement projects focused on customer satisfaction, defect reduction, process capability enhancement and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) improvement.
  • Support the deployment of digital quality tools, automation, AI applications and data analytics to improve quality management efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement and customer focus across the organization.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related functions within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in automotive, electronics or high-volume manufacturing industries is preferred.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems and product development activities.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA and IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Experience supporting both new product introduction and mass production quality management.
  • Strong problem-solving capability with practical experience using 8D, A3, 5 Why and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
  • Experience in customer complaint management, audit preparation and corrective action deployment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize quality data to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and project management skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
