About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced software engineer who will be responsible for audio routing solution delivery and audio algorithms development on IVI / Cockpit products which serve our global/domestic Car OEM customers. You will be dedicated on challenging work daily together with global software team across US, Europe and Asia.

What You Will Do

  • Initiate and lead to develop innovative audio solutions for Harman digital cockpit platforms.
  • Design audio sub-system for IVI / Cockpit products.
  • Develop audio routing framework in multi-core SoC environment.
  • Coordinate proactively with all audio sub-domains until consolidated audio solution be delivered.
  • Perform code reviews and other activities to ensure high-quality results.
  • Provide unit tests and documentation for software modules.
  • Function within highly talented specialized team environment and coordinate with others to accomplish project tasks.

What You Need

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field and should have at least 3 years of related experience.
  • Strong C /C++ programming skill.
  • Experienced in audio development for Linux ALSA drivers or Android audio subsystem.
  • Excellent English language skills (fluent in spoken and written, can host conference call in English).
  • Excellent with embedded system software development, testing and debugging skill.
  • Detail oriented.

What is Nice to Have

  • Familiar with Linux kernel is a big plus.
  • Familiar with multi-core communication in SoC is a big plus.
  • Familiar with audio sub-system in vehicle is a big plus.
  • Experienced developing and debugging object-oriented software in a real-time, embedded, multi-processor, multi-interface environment is a plus.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 20%, domestic and international travel
  • Be willing to work in an [R&D center] in Chengdu
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
