About the Role

As a Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, performance, and functionality of our products through comprehensive testing procedures. You will be responsible for reviewing circuit designs, developing and optimizing test systems, analysing test data, and providing valuable insights to improve product reliability and performance. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and R&D, to ensure products meet the highest standards of excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Review circuit board designs to ensure they meet testability requirements.
  • Provide support to manufacturing by conducting failure analysis, debugging test equipment, and minimizing intermittent failures and downtime.
  • Generate test reports, analyse test data, and prepare documentation with recommendations.
  • Regularly review test equipment designs, data, and RMA issues with the team.
  • Possess advanced knowledge and expertise in TestStand and LabVIEW, including test system development.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in vision development and image processing systems, including knowledge of vision systems like Cognex and Banner.
  • Have experience in C++ development and executing logic.
  • Possess hands-on experience with PXI controllers, PCI, and troubleshooting related systems.
  • Have experience with RF testing and related logic, as well as knowledge of vision systems.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of CAN and LIN protocols.
  • Direct and guide engineering and technical personnel on the operation of test equipment and control apparatus.
  • Coordinate engineering activities related to the development, procurement, installation, and calibration of testing instruments, equipment, and control devices to record and analyze test data.
  • Optimize test conditions, sequences, and phases of operations.
  • Oversee the operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
  • Conduct moderately complex engineering tests on both standard and custom devices.
  • Analyze and interpret test data, preparing technical reports for both test engineering and management teams.
  • Develop or utilize computer software and hardware for testing machinery and equipment.
  • Perform semi-routine technique development and maintenance, adhering to established standards, including ISO and QS.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Apply knowledge of electronic circuit analysis.
  • Utilize programming skills in LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, and VB.
  • Work with various communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, MOST).
  • Contribute to the development of test programs and software.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of test instruments.
  • Demonstrate electrical circuit analysis skills and the ability to read and interpret schematics.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least five years of experience in EMS electronic manufacturing as a Test Engineer.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to build and collaborate effectively within teams. Extensive experience in the testing domain.
