HanmiGlobal Saudi is looking for an experienced Legal Specialist to join our dynamic engineering and project management environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support across the company's corporate, commercial, contractual, and project-related activities, ensuring compliance with applicable Saudi laws, regulations, and company policies.
The role will work closely with management, project teams, procurement, finance, HR, consultants, contractors, and external legal advisors to identify legal risks, review and manage contracts, support negotiations, and provide practical legal guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesLegal & Contractual Support- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, amendments, and related legal documents.
- Provide legal advice on commercial and contractual matters affecting company operations and projects.
- Review consultant, contractor, supplier, subcontractor, and client agreements.
- Identify contractual obligations, liabilities, risks, and potential areas of dispute.
- Support contract negotiations and ensure appropriate legal protections for the company.
- Monitor contractual commitments, notices, claims, variations, and termination provisions.
- Provide legal support to engineering, PMC, infrastructure, and land development projects.
- Review project correspondence and contractual notices to identify potential legal and commercial implications.
- Support project teams in managing contractual disputes, claims, and potential litigation.
- Coordinate with project management and commercial teams on contractual risk matters.
- Ensure project activities remain aligned with contractual requirements and applicable regulations.
- Support compliance with applicable Saudi laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain corporate legal records and documentation.
- Support preparation and review of powers of attorney, resolutions, authorizations, and corporate documents.
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and advise management of potential business impacts.
- Coordinate with government entities and external legal advisors when required.
- Identify and assess legal and contractual risks.
- Maintain legal risk registers and track mitigation actions.
- Escalate significant legal risks to management.
- Support the development and implementation of legal policies, procedures, and controls.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and commercial information.
- Support the management of contractual disputes, claims, and legal proceedings.
- Coordinate with external counsel on litigation, arbitration, mediation, and other dispute-resolution matters.
- Prepare relevant documentation, evidence, correspondence, and case records.
- Track legal cases and ensure required actions are completed within agreed timelines.
- Work closely with senior management and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Provide a legal advice.
- Coordinate with external lawyers, consultants, clients, contractors, and government authorities.
- Support management in making informed decisions regarding legal and contractual matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related discipline.
- Saudi legal qualification or relevant professional certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi commercial and contractual laws and regulations.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience within engineering consultancy, PMC, construction, infrastructure, real estate, or project development environments is preferred.
- Experience in contract drafting, review, negotiation, and administration.
- Experience supporting large-scale or mega projects is highly desirable.
- Experience dealing with contractors, consultants, clients, and external legal counsel.

The candidate should have a basic understanding of how a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) operates. In a PMC environment, the consultant works on behalf of the client to help manage and coordinate the project, while monitoring the performance of contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders against the project requirements and contractual obligations.
