Stitch a little joy into someone's day and create a friendship that's made to last. 

An elderly lady living at home is looking forward to spending time with a volunteer who enjoys crochet and creative pursuits. Together, you might share crochet projects, chat about life, exchange ideas and enjoy the simple pleasure of good company. 

Whether you're stitching, crafting or simply sharing a cuppa and a conversation, your visits can help spark joy, creativity and friendship.

A love of crochet or crafts is a bonus One-on-one companionship - Visits in the client's home - Meaningful connection through shared interests.

Your impact


Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •


We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for an hour visit between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
