About this role

Make a Meaningful Difference Through Volunteering 

Could you spare an hour each week to bring companionship, connection and joy to an older person? 

We are currently seeking caring volunteers for the following rewarding opportunities:

Padstow Heights Aged Care Home An elderly lady living with severe cognitive impairment would greatly benefit from one-on-one volunteer visits. She enjoys relaxing on the balcony, reading magazines, looking through photo albums, and has a lifelong interest in knitting, crafts and dolls.

No special skills are required—just kindness, patience, and a willingness to spend time with someone who will truly value your company.

If you'd like to make a lasting impact in someone's life while gaining a rewarding volunteering experience, we'd love to hear from you! 



Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •
Preferred visit in the afternoon.
