A Friendship Built on Conversation and Connection

Originally from Italy, this warm and friendly older lady has lived a rich life filled with community, family and hard work. She enjoys sharing stories, spending time with others and maintaining her strong connection to her Italian Catholic community.

Her interests include:

  • Crocheting 
  • Socialising and companionship 
  • Her Faith and Community 

A volunteer visit offers the chance to enjoy a chat, share stories and build a genuine friendship with someone who values connection and community.

  • Weekly or fortnightly visits
  • 30-minute visits
  • Between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Sunday
  • One-on-one companionship

A small amount of time can bring warmth, companionship and a friendly connection to someone's week.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week-

 Monday to Sunday

 Flexible times: anywhere between 9am and 5pm

 30 minutes to 1 hour per visit
