Responsibilities

Hamilton Company is looking for a Decontamination/RMA Processor who will be performing all duties associated with returned goods. The Decon/RMA Processor will be responsible for the decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of instruments utilizing infection control and safety practices during all phases of the process.

 

Other responsibilities may include:

  • Maintains a clean work area
  • Communicates appropriately using good interpersonal skills
  • Removing returned goods from packaging for cleaning
  • Cleaning and sterilizing equipment as necessary and following Hamilton Safety Procedures
  • Enter progress information in RMA document pertaining to returned goods
  • Ensure parts requiring rebuild or in-depth mechanical analysis are delivered to the respective department
  • Must work independently
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Be conscientious, industrious, precise and reliable
  • Must pay close attention to detail and have the ability to retain knowledge of the work involved
  • Be capable of planning and assessing priorities to maintain production
  • Accept responsibility and prefer activities of a repetitive nature
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Ability to work harmoniously within the department as well as interfacing with all other departments
  • Position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move light objects
  • Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization process
  • Knowledge of proper PPE equipment
  • Must be able to pass a fit test for respirator

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical Certificate and/or LEAP or CTE Program Completion Preferred
  • Some college preferred (2+ years)
  • Experience with an autoclave sterilizer a plus
