The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in delivering top-notch customer service support while overseeing various aspects of order processing, account management, and general office duties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Order Processing: Input, monitor, and expedite orders while ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Also, configure customer specifications and promptly address inquiries and complaints to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Account Management: Establish and manage new and existing accounts, fostering strong customer relationships. Provide comprehensive information on product availability, process quote requests efficiently, and handle special shipping requests while maintaining organized records of relevant data.
- Communication and Coordination: Coordinate seamless communication between Hamilton personnel and customers. Actively participate in meetings, contributing valuable insights, and generate reports as required.
- General Office Support: Manage incoming phone calls and emails professionally, providing backup support to team members as needed.
- Cross-Training and Support: Acquire cross-functional skills to perform various roles within the department effectively. Assist leadership with special projects, reports, and serve as a resource for team members, providing guidance, resolving issues, and facilitating training as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Ability to actively listen and understand customer needs effectively.
- Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office programs.
- Capable of handling multiple systems simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong skills in time management, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Effective collaboration with Customer Service, internal departments, field staff, and customers.
- Skilled in problem identification, resolution, and project management.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED required, with some college or degree preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service/order processing or data entry required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment/inventory control is preferred.
