Unique Skills:

  • 6 years related experience in pattern programming or embroidery digitizing.
  • Experience with CAD systems and embroidery digitizing software.
  • Graphic design skillset
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical specifications.
  • Maintain file organization, revision history, and technical documentation.


 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Associate's Degree or equivalent technical certificate in drafting, design, engineering, manufacturing technology required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 6 years experience in industry-related designs and design documentation. Extensive knowledge of Mentor Graphics, Oracle, Cadam, EDIS, and general PC applications. Position Purpose:Applies knowledge of advanced design and drafting principles, guidelines, specifications and standards to create electronic layouts, sketches and drawings. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization to customers and suppliers to resolve important issues and to plan and coordinate work.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. Oversees project activities to include coordinating and participating in decision making .
  2. Applies leadership skills, technical expertise and continuous quality improvement tools to reconcile differing opinions and requirements .
  3. Applies diversified knowledge and experience of engineering principles in specific technical areas of assignments and related fields .
  4. Plans, develops, coordinates and directs large and important engineering projects or a number of small projects with many complex features .
  5. Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others .
  6. Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements .
  7. Ability to lead the activities of a group of Technical Designers and serve as the technical Point of Contact for the output of the group .
  8. Guides and trains others by communicating technical knowledge skills and processes .
  9. Oversees the continuous updates to the Electronic Library Database to ensure it remains current, accurate and that the integrity of the data is consistent .
Additional Functions:
  1. Maintains a close working relationship with the Information Technology organization and software developers for purposes of developing new techniques, coding, enhancements and improvements relative to the computer-aided drawing systems as they pertain to Electronic Systems Applications .
  2. Primary support role and technical point-of-contact for all changes to electrical drawings as they pertain to the Applications environment .
Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
  1. Possesses excellent problem solving skills, follow-up and customer relation skills based on sound judgment, initiative and strong electronics engineering principles, processes and procedures.
  2. Requires the use of advanced techniques and practices of the specified field, related sciences and disciplines.
  3. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and visualization skills.
  4. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
