POSITION SUMMARY

 

Griffon Aerospace, a leader in the exciting Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and composites industry, is seeking a talented Final Integration and Checkout Technician to perform final verification, systems bring-up, and quality delivery of completed UAS airframes. This role is responsible for confirming structural, electrical, and mechanical conformance of each aircraft, performing weight and balance, conducting full system checkout and engine runs, and preparing/loading aircraft for customer delivery. This position directly interfaces with Customer, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Flight Test and UAS Flight Operations Staff. DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

 

  • Experience with final assembly verification and quality inspection of aerospace or UAS structures
  • Experience with electrical/avionics system checkout, wiring continuity, and troubleshooting
  • Experience performing weight and balance on aircraft or similarly regulated systems
  • Experience with small gas or turbine engine runs, break-in, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working from a traveler/router or MES/ERP work order system
  • Prior UAS, aerospace, or defense manufacturing experience

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

 

  • High School Graduate
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs often and work standing up for a full 8hr shift
  • Ability to work to engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions
  • Ability to perform full aircraft-level verification of structural, electrical, and mechanical systems prior to release
  • Ability to perform weight and balance measurements and calculations on completed aircraft
  • Ability to perform full system checkout and power-on bring-up of avionics, flight control, payload, and communication systems
  • Ability to perform, monitor, and document engine runs and associate troubleshooting
  • Ability to identify, document, and disposition nonconformances (NCRs) in coordination with Quality and Engineering
  • Ability to prepare, crate, and load completed aircraft for shipment/delivery
  • General use of hand tools, test equipment, and measurement devices including multimeters, scales, calipers, and diagnostic software tools
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping to support quality documentation and traceability
