Job Summary

As a Field Sales Manager, you'll play a key role in driving brand growth across your assigned territory by building strong retail partnerships, executing best-in-class merchandising strategies, and leading a team of Retail Activation Specialists. This is a highly visible, field-based role for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and bringing brands to life at retail. You'll work closely with customers, distributor partners, and internal teams to increase brand presence, drive sales performance, and deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow brand distribution, visibility, and sales across assigned retail accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, bottlers, and key stakeholders.
  • Execute merchandising strategies, display programs, and point-of-sale initiatives to maximize brand presence.
  • Identify opportunities to increase shelf space, promotional displays, and share of visual inventory.
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Retail Activation Specialists to drive execution and performance.
  • Track account activity, performance metrics, and market insights using CRM tools and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with leadership to evaluate market opportunities, provide feedback, and develop action plans that drive continued growth.
  • Manage scheduling, reporting, and other administrative responsibilities to support territory operations.

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of sales experience within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry; beverage industry experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence customers, and drive sales results.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing priorities independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, and sales reporting tools.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen and a passion for delivering results.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a field-based position that requires regular travel throughout the assigned market, with time split between retail locations, customer meetings, and occasional home office responsibilities. Candidates should be comfortable working a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional out-of-state travel as business needs require. The role also involves lifting and transporting promotional materials and merchandising equipment when needed.

Compensation

  • Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 annually
  • Bonus Opportunity: 10% annually
  • Auto Allowance: $500 monthly
  • Communication Allowance: $150 monthly
