Job Summary
Key responsibilities:
Technical Standards and Compliance
- Ensure the implementation and continuous evolution of GBXLE technical specifications and their correct application in repair and maintenance workshops.
- Ensure compliance with international railway regulations and standards, including RID, TSI, UIC, and other applicable requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and support their effective implementation across maintenance activities.
Fleet Maintenance Management
- Ensure the technical maintenance and operational reliability of the wagon fleet while adhering to the annual budget established by the Technical Department.
- Monitor the technical performance and condition of wagons operating across Europe.
- Ensure accurate monitoring, maintenance, and updating of wagon data within IT database systems.
New Wagon Acceptance
- Perform technical inspections and acceptance of newly delivered wagons.
- Verify compliance with technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations before fleet integration.
Repair Supervision
- Supervise wagon repair activities carried out by internal and external workshops.
- Ensure repairs comply with customer specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor repair quality, execution timelines, and cost effectiveness.
Wagon Modifications and Preparation Projects
- Participate in all stages of wagon modification and preparation projects, including:
- Selection of maintenance and repair workshops
- Evaluation of technical solutions and pricing
- Review and approval of technical documentation
- Placement and follow-up of orders
- Monitoring project deadlines and deliverables
Customer Support
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers regarding fleet maintenance, repairs, modifications, and regulatory matters.
- Act as a technical point of contact for operational and maintenance-related inquiries.
Your profile:
- Master Degree in Engineering or relevant
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the railway industry
- Experience in supervising and inspecting wagon maintenance and overhaul activities
- Good knowledge of railway maintenance, repair, and safety standards
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Fluency in English and German
