Senior EHS Specialist

Greenbrier is a leading U.S.-based manufacturer of railcars, with a growing presence in Europe – including our European HQ in Amsterdam, three R&D centers in Slovakia, Poland, Romania and three production sites across Poland and Romania.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Health & Safety Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support occupational health and safety, emergency preparedness, and environmental compliance activities at the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments;

• Develop and monitor implementation of the prevention and protection plan;

• Deliver and track health & safety training for employees;

• Conduct internal workplace inspections and report findings;

• Maintain records of equipment, PPE, and periodic inspections;

• Participate in incident investigations and prepare related documentation;

• Support environmental compliance activities, including waste management audits and permit documentation;

• Verify functioning of fire safety and emergency alarm systems;

• Collaborate with the occupational physician, labor inspectors, and external prevention services;

• Support implementation of the SSM management system and ISO 45001 standards.

Your Profile:

• SSM Specialist certification course;

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role;

• Knowledge of occupational health & safety legislation;

• PC skills (MS Office);

• English – intermediate level or above;

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
