Job Summary

We are seeking a Financial Controller to support the company’s financial reporting, analysis, and month-end closing activities. This role is responsible for preparing financial reports, performing variance and balance sheet analyses, supporting compliance requirements, and providing accurate financial information to support business decisions, while ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.

The Financial Controller will play a key role in monitoring financial performance, supporting internal controls and SOX compliance activities, preparing reports for management and external stakeholders, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Month-end process (Local GAAP, USGAAP);

  • Prepare monthly financial performance reports and dashboards for management;

  • Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast);

  • Prepare the reports requested by the bank;

  • Provide support to the SOX Officer at Greenbrier Romania in accordance with the responsibilities assigned through the control matrix (Sarbanes-Oxley), under the supervision of the group’s European Internal Audit department;

  • Perform balance sheet analyses and reconciliations;

  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis and management presentations.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;

  • Mid-level professional experience;

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including formulas and PivotTables);

  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles;

  • Experience in data analysis and report preparation;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is considered an advantage;

  • Analytical mindset;

  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail;

  • Team player.
