About this role
Green Paws Chicago is looking for dedicated Pet Care Specialists to provide top-tier dog walking and cat care. We pride ourselves on professionalism, social responsibility, and a deep love for our four-legged neighbors.
The Role
Enjoy an independent work environment, fresh air, and regular exercise while improving the lives of pets. This is a full-time position requiring 6–8 hours of availability between 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight stays. We require a minimum one-year commitment.
Qualifications
Animal Intuition: Comfortable handling various breeds and sizes; prior pet care experience (professional or volunteer) is strongly preferred.
Reliability: Strong time-management skills and a track record of dependability.
Communication: Excellent customer service skills for interacting with pet parents.
Chicago-Tough: Able to navigate the city safely and work through all four seasons (rain, snow, or shine!).
Clearance: Must pass a criminal background check.

We share your belief that our pets are our “fur children” and, as such, we give our cats and dogs the same love and attention one would give any child.
We offer both monthly membership programs based on your pet or pets’ service needs as well as a la carte services as needed. We’re also especially adept at catering to your—and your pets’ needs and gladly provide transportation and vacation/holiday care 24/7/365.
