About this role

To drive profitable premium growth for the broking channel and expand market share by managing and strengthening strategic relationships with the brokers.

 

·       Service and develop business with brokers to achieve GWP and underwriting profit targets for the Broking Channel.

·       Develop network of business partners and maintain good relationships through regular marketing activities such as broker’s engagement and visitation to enhance business growth.

·       Underwrite and provide quotations in accordance with assigned authority limits and within the company's underwriting guidelines and treaty terms.

·       Review and negotiate renewal terms and follow up on policy renewals to achieve good retention of business.

·       Arrange facultative reinsurance placement in accordance with the company’s reinsurance security guidelines.

·       Underwrite broker referred reinsurance inward business to maintain a reciprocal business relationship with our brokers

·       Arrange &/or conduct risk survey when necessary.

·       Assist in credit control.

·       Contribute to the preparation of monthly reports and other operational support to the broking team.

·       Arrange and/or conduct training to brokers when necessary.

·       Participate in ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.



..·       Degree or diploma holder preferable with professional insurance qualification (eg. ACII, ANZII).

·       Certifications in General Insurance (e.g. BCP, ComGI, PGI, HI).

·       Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.

·       Good communication and written skills.

·       Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with brokers

·       Self-driven, results oriented and team player

·       Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
