About this role

Key Responsibilities:

Client Delivery & Technical Work

  • Support the delivery of multiple financial reporting and advisory engagements, ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Prepare and review financial statements under IFRS, FRS 102, and/or US GAAP
  • Conduct research on technical queries and prepare accounting papers for client discussions.

Project & Engagement Management

  • Manage sections of larger projects, supporting overall project planning, resourcing, and progress tracking.
  • Help ensure strong governance, documentation, and quality across engagements.
  • Identify risks or issues early and escalate as appropriate to the Manager or Director.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build strong working relationships with client finance teams and act as a reliable point of contact on day‑to‑day matters.
  • Support Managers and Directors in developing commercial insights and value‑add recommendations for clients.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, coach, and review the work of associates and senior associates.
  • Provide on‑the‑job training and support in technical accounting and project delivery.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and knowledge-sharing across the FAAS practice.

Business Development & Collaboration

  • Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and other business development materials.
  • Collaborate with other service lines and international teams across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
  • Participate in internal initiatives and process improvement projects.

Quality, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure all work complies with internal risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and professional standards.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent).
  • 3–5 years’ post-qualified experience in audit, financial reporting, or advisory.
  • Experience supervising junior staff and reviewing their work.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP; FRS 102 exposure beneficial.
  • Experience in a Top 20 practice or advisory firm preferred.
  • Solid project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and client‑facing skills.
  • Commercially aware and able to apply practical judgment to client challenges
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality outputs.
  • Motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team.
