What You’ll Do
Financial Reporting & General Ledger
- Own general ledger functions, including account reconciliations, journal entries and financial statement preparation
- Review and analyze account balances to identify anomalies and ensure accuracy
- Manage the reconciliation and accuracy of all account balances
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Ensure financial reporting complies with company policies and accounting standards
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to support business decisions
- Monitor financial trends and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support strategic planning through accurate financial analysis and reporting
Cash Management & Fixed Assets
- Oversee cash management processes, reconciliations and reporting
- Analyze variances and ensure accuracy of cash-related transactions
- Maintain and track fixed assets, including depreciation, insurance, licensing and reporting
Audits, Compliance & Controls
- Conduct internal audits and recommend process improvements
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies
- Support tax reporting and regulatory compliance activities
Process Improvement & Technology
- Lead financial software projects and system enhancements
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency
- Develop and maintain accounting procedures, documentation and training materials
- Collaborate with departments across the organization to streamline accounting processes
Leadership & Team Support
- Serve as a key contact for accounting-related questions and issues
- Mentor and support accounting team members
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across the business
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Advanced proficiency with accounting systems and financial reporting tools
- Working knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
- Experience preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations and analyzing financial data
- Experience supporting audits and process improvement initiatives
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
