The GrabAGun storefront is an important part of our customer experience, providing customers with a professional, knowledgeable, and compliant environment to purchase firearms, ammunition, and accessories.
The Retail Sales Associate will manage day-to-day storefront counter operations, including customer service, firearm transactions, Form 4473 processing, NICS background checks, POS transactions, and inventory support. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, knowledgeable about firearms, and comfortable working within strict compliance requirements.
What you'll do every day
Serve as a primary point of contact for customers visiting the GrabAGun storefront.
Process firearm transactions and ATF Form 4473 documentation accurately and in accordance with applicable requirements.
Verify customer eligibility and accurately submit NICS background checks.
Maintain accurate daily Form 4473 counts, records, and compliance documentation.
Follow all firearm safety, handling, storage, and security procedures.
Answer customer questions and provide knowledgeable product recommendations.
Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately through the POS system.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional storefront and sales counter.
Manage and maintain local product orders.
Receive, stock, organize, and maintain incoming inventory and shipments.
Communicate professionally with customers both in person and over the phone.
Stay current on applicable federal, state, and local firearms laws and company compliance policies.
Support store management with administrative and operational responsibilities as needed.
What you bring
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous retail, sales, customer service, or similar customer-facing experience.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling compliance documentation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn POS and business systems.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable work habits.
Ability to meet all federal, state, and local legal requirements to sell firearms and ammunition.
Ability to successfully pass a required background check.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs.
Professional, customer-focused attitude and strong commitment to providing an excellent customer experience.
Genuine familiarity with and interest in firearms, ammunition, and shooting sports.
Bonus if you have
Previous experience working in a firearms retail environment or FFL setting.
Familiarity with the NICS Instant Background Check System.
Working knowledge of firearms, ammunition, and shooting accessories.
Experience with POS or inventory management systems.
Existing knowledge of federal, state, and local firearms regulations.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
