[What the role is]
SENIOR/ ASSISTANT ENGINEER, DEVELOPMENT & BUILDING CONTROL (RAIL)[What you will be working on]
You will be part of a team responsible for regulating development and building works within railway protection zones, railway corridors, and road structure safety zones to safeguard rapid transit systems, road structures, and public streets.
Your role will involve reviewing the design of both temporary and permanent works that affect rapid transit systems, road structures, and public streets. You will conduct engineering risk assessments and analyses, evaluate construction methodologies and instrumentation proposals, and review geotechnical and structural instrumentation data. In addition, you will support the execution of site inspections to verify that construction and engineering works are carried out in accordance with approved method statements and technical requirements.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with developers, their architectural and engineering consultants, and contractors. You will also coordinate and liaise with LTA architects, planners, and engineers on projects affecting rail and road systems.

• Knowledge in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Resourceful and analytical individual who can thrive in a demanding work environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and a keen desire to learn
• Demonstrates initiative and has a keen interest in developing professional skills
• Able to work independently whilst being a strong team player with excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving
• Candidates with relevant experience in civil engineering design and supervision of construction works will have an advantage
