About this role
GovCIO is currently hiring for an Enterprise Data Architect with experience in Veteran Affairs specific data and analytics to provide technical leadership and drive architecture for VA Modernization within a mission-critical VA Program. This position is fully remote located within the continental United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of Summits enterprise data architecture, defining scalable patterns for data ingestion, integration, storage, transformation, and governance across complex VA environments
- Provide deep technical leadership across Azure cloud and data services, including Azure data factory, azure databricks, azure SQL, and ADLS supporting enterprise-scale data workloads.
- Develop and enforce reference architecture, data models, and architecture decisions.
- Provide technical leadership across Data Engineering, DevSecOps, AI/ML, Cloud provisioning, and security teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 15+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
- 12+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional expertise.
- Experience working with CDW / VISTA / Oracle Health data
- Expertise in CDW Metadata, data modeling, and CDW query optimization
- Ability to identify architectural migration patterns and resolve dependencies
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide range of VA stakeholders
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with virtual and/or cloud-based servers
- Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance
Posted Salary Range
USD $185,000.00 - USD $205,000.00 /Yr.
