Gordon Highlander is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of commercial construction projects ranging from $1 million to $10 million+. This is an exciting opportunity for a construction professional who thrives on managing complex projects, building strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional results.
As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout, leading project teams while ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, solve challenges, and play a key role in the continued growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance
- Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely delivery
- Lead project buyout, subcontractor management, procurement, and contract administration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and trade partners
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, project documentation, and closeout activities
- Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain project success
- Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders
- Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Coordinators while fostering a collaborative team environment
- Deliver exceptional client service while upholding Gordon Highlander's commitment to quality and integrity
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects valued between $1 million and $10 million +
- Strong understanding of project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Experience managing subcontractors, contracts, procurement, and project schedules
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- High attention to detail with the ability to process large volumes of project information
- Ability to work independently while leading cross-functional project teams
- Experience managing ground-up and/or tenant improvement commercial construction projects
- Design-build experience is a plus
- Passion for mentoring and developing junior team members
