About this role

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in law enforcement, intelligence, or a military role or equivalent private sector experience.
  • Experience with security technologies including CCTV, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience applying drone/UAS solutions to enterprise security operations.
  • Experience in dynamic, high-stakes environments—remaining calm, empathetic, and professional, while being able to triage incidents and adapt to fluid priorities.
  • Experience upholding strict confidentiality and high ethical standards, exercising excellent judgment, diplomacy, and tact with sensitive information.
  • Ability to apply strong problem-solving thinking and geopolitical risk awareness to monitor emerging threats and evaluate complex enterprise security scenarios.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure, maintain clear cross-functional communication, and deliver concise, accurate operational reports via digital and written channels.

About the job:

Within GSRS, The Operational Support Team (OST) serves as the primary GSOC (Google Security Operations Center) team for threat intake and triage. This role bridges the gap between frontline security operations and GSOC leadership, managing high-priority incidents, evaluating threat intelligence, and ensuring a seamless response.

From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $105000 - $151000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for incident management, response and support. Manage sensitive, escalated, high priority tasks. Provide escalation support for GSOC vendor operators. Provide escalation support to the network of Global Security Service Centers.
  • Manage email monitoring, response and assignment. Manage ticket monitoring and assignment. Collect, evaluate, escalate and disseminate intelligence to support action plans based on credibility and likelihood.
  • Provide intelligence support to the Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) in incident response, crisis management and global travel management. Create GSOC incident report writing in line with existing GSOC processes.
  • Provide global coverage when needed. Provide supervisor backup coverage (when no supervisor is on shift/available) when needed.
  • Work 12 hour shifts with a cadence of 4 days on and 4 days off.
