  • The Tagger - Textiles at Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission by ensuring that all donated textile items are accurately tagged and categorized. This position is vital in maintaining the efficiency of inventory management and enhancing the customer shopping experience in our retail stores. As part of a not-for-profit charitable organization, the Tagger contributes to the overall goal of providing job training and employment opportunities to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately tag and categorize all incoming textile donations according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Inspect donated textiles for quality and condition, ensuring that only suitable items are prepared for sale.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient tagging area to streamline the processing of donations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure that tagging operations are conducted smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory records and tracking the movement of tagged items.
  • Support the retail team by ensuring that tagged items are ready for display and sale in a timely manner.
  • Uphold Goodwill Industries' standards of customer service by providing assistance and information to shoppers as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in tagging processes.

QualificationsRequired Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Required Experience

  • Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Experience in handling textiles or clothing items is a plus.
  • Familiarity with sorting, tagging, and inventory management is advantageous.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous roles.
