  • The Specialty Pricer at Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to provide job training and employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities and disadvantages. This position involves accurately pricing specialty items such as antiques, collectibles, and high-value merchandise to ensure competitive pricing that maximizes revenue for our charitable programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and price specialty items including antiques, collectibles, and unique merchandise using industry knowledge and market trends.
  • Conduct research to determine the value of items and set competitive prices that align with Goodwill's pricing strategy and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with store managers and team members to ensure accurate pricing and inventory management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor offerings to adjust pricing as necessary.
  • Assist in training staff on identifying and pricing specialty items to improve overall store performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Goodwill Industries' policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Participate in inventory audits and assist in resolving pricing discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the overall success of Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc by supporting various charitable initiatives and programs.

QualificationsRequired Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pricing or financial analysis within a retail or non-profit environment.
  • Proven track record of developing pricing strategies that align with organizational goals and market trends.
  • Experience working in a non-profit or charitable organization is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies and techniques in the retail sector.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Goodwill Industries and the ability to work in a not-for-profit setting.
