  • The Production Team Lead at Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the production team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output. This role is integral to supporting the organization's mission of providing job training, employment placement services, and other community-based programs for individuals facing barriers to employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the production team, ensuring all team members are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Monitor production processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster professional growth and development.
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain continuous production.
  • Analyze production data and prepare reports for management review.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues in a timely manner to minimize disruptions.
  • Support the organization's charitable mission by promoting a culture of inclusivity and community service.

QualificationsRequired Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in business management or a related field is preferred.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably within a not-for-profit organization.
  • Experience in process improvement and implementing production efficiencies is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze production data and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
