Internal Stakeholders: All departments, relevant subsidiaries, business units, and the Group legal & compliance functions.

External Stakeholders: Law firms, third-party compliance advisors, regulatory authorities, and external business partners.

Job Summary:

Provide legal and compliance support for the business development in Central Asia, Mid-east and North-Africa region, such as renewable energy projects, cross-border investments, and operational decisions. Support the legal affairs by handling day-to day legal matters and collaborating with Goldwind International(“GWI”) operations. Assist in managing legal risks and exposure, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and corporate governance requirements. Handling disputes and safeguarding the rights and interests of the companies within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide professional legal support and advice to all business departments. Manage standard contract templates, review and approve various project sales contracts, service contracts, procurement contracts, cross-border investment and financing agreements and other legal documents; participate in negotiations for major projects. 

2. Assist in establishing, reviewing, and implementing the company’s rules, regulations and internal policies. Ensure the company's governance and internal control systems comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements, including data protection and privacy policies. Manage legal and compliance risks at both regional and GWI levels. Monitor compliance risks and ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.

3. Support in handling litigation, arbitration, mediation and other dispute resolution matters. Represent the company or engage external law firms when necessary and manage all legal cases throughout the process to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the company.

4. Comply with the company's health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements, identify and report potential safety hazards, report incidents truthfully and in a timely manner, and participate in HSE activities organized by the company and departments. 

5. Coordinate internal and external legal resources. Liaise with GWI legal management, affiliates legal teams, and external law firms. Support the coordination and management of the legal resources.

6. Conduct legal training and compliance promotion. Organize legal knowledge training and enhance compliance awareness among employees.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1.Education: Master's degree or above in Law or related fields. 

2.Professional Certificates: Possesses the legal qualifications or professional credentials required to practice as in-house legal counsel in at least one jurisdiction. Qualified in Mainland China, Hong Kong, UAE or Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are preferred. 

3.Language Must have: Full professional proficient in English (written and spoken) Good to have: Full professional proficient in at least one additional language (Arabic, Chinese, or other language in the region). 

4.Work Experience Must have: 5 years of relevant legal experience and practice, preferably with exposure to international business, cross-border investment. Good to have: Renewable energy projects, or multinational corporate legal functions. 

5.Knowledge & Skills Must have: Solid knowledge and practical experience in contract law, dispute resolution, corporate law, cross-border investment and regulatory compliance. 

6.Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic, business-oriented solutions and effectively manage legal risk.

7.Familiarity with the compliance requirements and professional standards for legal and compliance functions of multinational corporations.

8.Good to have: Proven experience in renewable energy projects, infrastructure development, or international investment is highly desirable.
