Summary:
We seek a Project Manager (PM) to work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will be placed as a GbILS contractor at a CDC facility. CDC is the nation’s premier health promotion, prevention, and preparedness agency. The Program Manager will report to GbILS senior leadership and be responsible for the day-to-day management of various projects and tasks, overseeing the execution of timely, high-quality deliverables for the client. This position will work full time on the client site at the CDC Chamblee Campus.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
The onsite Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing all work to ensure it is completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Project Manager will have oversight and supervise the work of the contractor workforce, provide back-up services as needed to contractor staff, and will prepare and submit all required reports to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- The Contractor shall provide an onsite Program Manager to perform the following tasks:
- Develop solution-oriented approaches to triage and coordinate work requirements to produce efficiencies, productivity and clear communication patterns.
- Supervise and provide day-to-day oversight, guidance and direction over the work.
- Manage to ensure continual full administrative coverage of the Division’s Offices.
- Manage to ensure timely and exceptional quality of work assignments.
- Serve as the communications hub for all DNPAO and DHDSP communications regarding contract performance.
- Make assignments and monitor for appropriate completion of the assigned tasks.
- Develop a quality control plan for assessing, monitoring, measuring, communicating, tracking and reporting performance/quality of business services. The Contractor’s quality control plan must be designed to address all standards and acceptable quality levels contained in the contract Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP). The Contractor’s Quality Control Plan must be submitted by not later than the date of the kick-off meeting. Any modifications made to the quality control plan must be submitted to the COR by not later than 30 days after contract award.
- Implement quality control systems/templates for reporting performance and report performance levels to the COR on a monthly basis.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) routinely used to perform tasks
- Should have or rapidly gain knowledge on CDC specific policies, procedures and/or systems that are applicable to the work within this task, including, but not limited to:
- Section 508, Plain Language, eClearance, use of CDC logo, the CDC style guide,
- TASNET (Time and Attendance system)
- CONCUR Government Edition travel system
- Integrated Conference Approval Portal (ICAP)
- SharePoint Travel projection and tracking tool
- Managing Accounting Credit Card System (MACCs 1350)
- Non U.S. Citizen Access System (NCAMS), etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters in Public Health, Communications or Business related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
- A minimum of 5 years senior level project management experience, including demonstrated knowledge of principles and concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently, be solution-oriented, motivated, and committed to customer and company success.
- Ability to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment while balancing multiple, competing priorities.
- Excellent judgement and decision making with strong analytic skills; business intuition and business acumen.
- Experience in program evaluation, including logic model development.
- Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDC clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
- Background in Health Communications
