About this role

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for managing the instructional design and implementation of digital learning content across GMR Group. This role ensures the creation, curation, and deployment of high-quality, engaging, and impactful learning experiences in alignment with organizational goals and the content strategy defined by the Lead – Learning Content.

Content & Learning

    • Translate digital content into effective learning applications, ensuring content is relevant and contextual.
    • Build engaging learning experiences through structured journeys, pathways, and multimodal content.
    • Drive learner engagement through content on technology platforms.
    • Conduct content diagnostics to assess effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
    • Maintain familiarity with content structures and ensure logical flow.
    • Manage content inventory, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain market understanding of content platforms, pricing, specialization, and vendor relationships.

  • ≥ 90% of digital content modules rated “relevant” and “contextual” by learners in post-module surveys.
  • ≥ 85% learner completion rate for structured journeys/pathways.
  • Average learner engagement score ≥ 4.2/5 across all platforms.
  • ≥ 90% of content gaps identified and closed within quarter.

Content Design and Development

    • Use content development tools and apply advanced instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SCORM, etc.).
    • Ensure high standards in design and visualization of learning assets.
    • Oversee the development of digital, blended, and instructor-led content.
    • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), L&D partners,
    •  and business stakeholders to gather inputs and validate content.
    • Translate subject matter input into structured learning content
    •  using ID models.
    • Create engaging instructional materials such as storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, job aids, and e-learning modules.
    • Implement SEO best practices for all digital content. 
  • ≥ 95% of new content developed using approved methodologies and tools.
  • ≥ 90% of content assets rated “high quality” in stakeholder feedback.
  • ≥ 95% of projects delivered on time and within budget.
  • ≥ 90% stakeholder satisfaction in content validation surveys.
  • ≥ 20% year-on-year increase in organic traffic to learning content.

Content Curation

    • Curate content using global tools and best practices.
    • Evaluate and select third-party content for integration.
    • Maintain relationships with content vendors and partners.
  • ≥ 90% of curated content rated “useful” by learners.
  • ≥ 2 new third-party content integrations per year.
  • ≥ 90% vendor satisfaction score in annual review.

    • Define learning objectives aligned with business priorities.
    • Conduct needs analysis and skill gap assessments.
    • Develop and refine content strategy in collaboration with leadership.
    • Create and maintain a content calendar aligned with business priorities.

  • ≥ 80% of strategic objectives met.

Stakeholder Management

    • Engage with business leaders, SMEs, and vendors.
    • Communicate program goals and progress.

Program Execution

    • Manage end-to-end lifecycle: design, delivery, evaluation.
    • Oversee vendor contracts and budgets (good to have).
    • Ensure compliance with learning standards and policies.
  • Program Completion Rate: ≥ 80% of learners enrolled.
  • Variance ≤ ±5% from approved budget.
  • ≥ 98% compliance in annual audit.

 

Change Management

    • Lead adoption of new content formats, technologies, and methodologies
    • Develop stakeholder communications and training for new initiatives.
  • ≥ 75% of target users adopt new format/technology within 6 months.
  • ≥ 90% completion rate for stakeholder training; ≥ 4.2/5 average satisfaction score for communications.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

    • Track learner engagement and completion.
    • Analyze program effectiveness engagement and ROI.
    • Implement feedback-driven improvements.
    • Support the adoption of new technologies and methodologies in digital learning.
  • Engagement rates ≥ 90%; Completion rates ≥ 85%.
  • ≥ 80% improvement in learner assessment scores post-content deployment.
  • At least one data-driven intervention implemented annually based on advanced analytics.
  • ≥ 1 new technology/methodology adopted per year.

Technology & Innovation

    • Leverage LMS, analytics tools, and emerging tech.

Implement at least one AI-backed tool per year.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Instructional Design preferred. Additional certification in Learning Technologies or Project Management is a plus.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 12+ years of experience in learning content management, instructional design, or digital learning.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), and digital content ecosystems
