This position is responsible for performing hardware repairs on desktop computers, laptops, panel monitors, servers, printers, cell phones, tablets, point of sale devices, network switches and a variety of other technical devices. The technician's responsibilities may extend to include building or configuring new hardware, installing and updating software packages, and creating and maintaining computer networks.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Maintain and repair technological equipment or peripheral devices.
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve or repair computer hardware and server problems as needed.
Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
Set up hardware and install and configure software and drivers.
Provide technical assistance and resolution as necessary.
Set up new computer systems and perform routine maintenance.
Test repaired hardware or other equipment to confirm repair.
Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills and abilities)

High school diploma or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required abilities.
0-1 years of experience as a computer hardware technician or similar role.
1-2 years professional work experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel & MS Word)
Must be well-versed in computer systems and network functions.
Must successfully pass Criminal Background check and Drug screening
Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.
Excellent problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality.
Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components
Excellent troubleshooting skills

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, hard-working individual.
Strong interpersonal skills and positive work ethic.
Must be detail oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and consistency.

Work Environment

Position will be performed in a WAREHOUSE environment which requires the ability to stand or sit for multiple hours in a day in a facility that is exposed to altering degrees of cold and heat.

Physical Demands

This position requires extended periods of time working in a warehouse facility.
The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Requires the use of hands to handle objects and equipment. Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading products.
Duties will require the ability to routinely lift 20 lbs., and occasionally greater than 35 lbs. and/or move objects that weigh more than 45lbs.
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust or odor.
