- Provide real-time Pidgin English ↔ Standard English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and asylum proceedings.
- Interpret with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to USCIS/DHS interpreter ethics standards.
- Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation requests.
- Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits.
- Native or near-native fluency in Pidgin English (West African variety) and Standard English.
- 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, community, NGO, or government strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and neutrality standards.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances and regional variations of Pidgin English.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
- Competitive pay: $28–35/hour (rare-language/creole premium).
