QA TESTER — JIRA MIGRATION / DATA VALIDATION TESTING

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Seeking a QA Tester to support end-to-end testing of a Jira data migration initiative involving multiple source repositories being normalized, deduplicated, staged, and migrated into a new Jira configuration. Responsible for test planning, data validation, regression testing, and Snowflake archival confirmation.

MANDATORY SKILLS

  • Strong QA/testing experience in data migration, ETL, or enterprise application migration projects
  • Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and defect investigation
  • Experience writing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and execution reports
  • Experience validating source-to-target mappings and transformation rules
  • Familiarity with data quality testing, count reconciliation, duplicate detection, and referential integrity checks
  • Experience with defect tracking tools, preferably Jira

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Experience testing Jira migration or Atlassian platform implementations
  • Experience with Snowflake validation and reporting data QA
  • Familiarity with Postman, Python, Excel, Power BI, or data comparison utilities
  • Experience with Agile testing, sprint-based QA, and UAT coordination
