Job Overview

Using both syndicated research, account data and ad hoc studies, the CIM uncovers new ways to grow categories that will ultimately differentiate Give & Go. The CIM develops the facts that support Give & Go’s Marketing strategies and objectives and translates these into actions that can further Give & Go’s success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Category and Customer Marketing (Frozen & Kits) and other key business stakeholders to translate ideas and insights into innovative solutions that inform the development of/support business strategies.
  • Continually monitor and advise on general market trends impacting Give & Go’s business
  • Provide foresight into consumer trends to help predict future market developments
  • Ensure that brand strategy/activity is based on factual market understanding
  • Work with the sales team, develop customized Retailer consumer and category insight presentations to assist in category and line reviews
  • Manage the process of acquiring and delivering consumer insights to drive better product/program development decisions
  • Lead the development of tools and communication vehicles designed to increase G&G’s learning on trends, creative problem-solving and innovation
  • Drive the development and use of market insight throughout the business
  • Coach coworkers in discovery processes and tools that satisfy business objectives
  • Actively live and role model our Leadership competencies by holding self and team (including all direct report ‘people leaders’) accountable for creating a positive work environment and culture through administration of our People Processes and Tools.

 

Recipe for Success:

  • Completion of a university degree in business and/or marketing
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in market research or in a field that requires analysis of information
  • Strong analytical market research and trend analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to distil complex information and analysis into clear and actionable recommendations
  • Experience working with diverse groups in multiple locations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving and risk assessment skills
  • Expert-level experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
