Job Overview 

Under the general supervision of the Machine Operator, Area Leader, Production Supervisor and/or Plant Manager; the General Production Worker will be responsible to follow directions for various plant tasks to ensure good quality products are efficiently manufactured at all times. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for performing various general plant tasks; packaging, feeding product to the line and/or packaging, making boxes, applying tamper seals, closing lids, etc. that help to ensure good quality product is produced at all times 
  • Responsible for performing any task that will be associated with the assembly or packaging of the product 
  • Responsible to perform the job responsibilities of a back-up Machine Operator for coverage purpose from time to time 
  • Responsible for practicing and adhering to Food Safety, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety policy at all times 
  • Responsible for practicing and adhering to Give & Go’s policies and best practices 
  • Responsible for following Give & Go core values; Respect, Direct Communication & Quality 
  • Responsible for other reasonable duties as assigned by the Area Leader/Supervisor and/or Plant Manager

The Recipe for Success: 

  • Completion of high school education or equivalent 
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience; asset to have worked in food and dairy manufacturing industry 
  • Good hand and manual dexterity 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of times 
  • Flexibility to work rotating and/or weekend shift 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
